Reflection on ICT as communication tool

ICT as a Communication tool plays a crucial role in the modern digital era in enhancing personal and academic productivity. As a student, I greatly rely on platforms like Telegram and the Paro College of Education Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and others, since they present efficient, accessible, and straightforward means of communication and learning. Telegram is one of the communicative tool that plays an essential role in my life as a student both for academic and daily life purposes as the tool is easy and simple to use, fast, well-structured, and anybody would easily get adapted to using it. The main reason why telegram is one of the most used tool, its because of the features like group chats, file sharing, and cloud storage that enable discussions on group work, sharing academic content, and staying connected with announcements in class and the most importantly, telegram not only support real time communication (synchronous) but also supports asynchronous where it allows me to access those information anytime I want and laern at my own pace. Therefore, I am not only updated about announcemnets but i can even revisit and keep up with old informations via telegram.Unlike conventional message applications,Telegram allows formation of group with numorous group member, bots and automation easily allows us to generate polls, quizzes etc. Moreover, the privacy and security of our information is well protected due to features like end to end encryption. Moreover, Paro College of Education Virtual Learning Platform also known as (vle) is a critical virtual resource to assist the academic learning process of students by providing access to learning resources, audio lectures, and submission of assignments in a systematic way where we are reminded about assignments due and even allocated with specific space to assign that particular work reducing confusions and miscommunication.Vle supports both synchronous as well as asynchronous communication however, it is more towards asynchronous communication as it does not require real time or other user to be active to receive the information or message. The sender can simply upload announcemnets, files or resources and assignments on the website and recipients can check on the information based on their convenience. Since, Vle is more like asynchronous communicative tool, some of the announcemnets are missed out as it does not notify us persinally about it. Once its uploaded, it is usually seen by people who all are active and non-active members of vle remain clueless about the programs and announcement. One of the best features about it can be the information related to college is all given there, we just need to find based on our need anytime as long as there is internet connectivity. Personally, vle updates me with announcements, programs and assignments which make it inevitable and crucial communicative tool in my daily and academic life. In conclusion, both the Telegram and the VLE are essential communication tools in my learning. While Telegram offers instant communication and collaborative work, the VLE offers organized access to learning content and activities. They complement one another to aid my learning needs by enabling synchronous as well as asynchronous communication.
