Summary of the blog

This blog contains, 3 reflection of about 350 words each on different ICT tools. 3 pictures representing different ict tools and a 3 min video clip on Ict as an informative tool. The summary of the reflections: Here's a concise summary (around 600–700 words) of your text, highlighting the key points: Summary: The Role of ICT in Education and Daily Life Information and Communication Technology (ICT) plays a crucial role in enhancing both academic and personal life by providing quick and easy access to a vast amount of information. It helps students learn effectively, stay updated, and understand the world better. ICT tools such as Google Scholar, online libraries, e-books, and educational videos enable self-paced, convenient learning and improve comprehension through diverse formats like text, images, audio, video, and animation. As a trainee teacher, using ICT tools like interactive simulations from PhET and online science websites has significantly enhanced the learning proce...

Reflection on Ict as a constructive tool

Information and Communication Technology(ICT) has also transformed the way we learn, construct knowledge, and interact with information. As a construction tool, ICT supports active and intentional learning by enabling students to construct, inquire, and express their ideas in specific and significant forms. It shifts the process of learning from passive reception to active construction so that learners can construct their knowledge through action and reflection. One very obvious illustration of ICT as a means of positive use is the Microsoft PowerPoint. Using it, the student is able to present data whereby he or she organizes content, adds pictures, and explains ideas in his or her own words. Through this, not only are his or her subject material improved, but also important communication and design skills. Making a presentation requires students to demand critical thinking on their part—discovering primary points and the most suitable way of passing them on to an audience. This promot...

This image shows a student actively engaging with Microsoft Excel, demonstrating the constructive use of technology in learning. By working with data and charts, the student enhances analytical and digital literacy skills. Excel empowers learners to organize, interpret, and visualize information, promoting hands-on exploration and meaningful problem-solving in a real-world context.

The image highlights how ICT (Information and Communication Technology) serves as a communicative tool in education. It showcases two platforms: Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) for structured online learning and course management, and Telegram for real-time messaging and group communication among students and educators. Both tools enhance collaboration, accessibility, and engagement in the teaching-learning process.

This picture shows how getting information has changed over time. On the left, I’m reading a newspaper in a library, which represents how we used to rely on printed sources. On the right, I’m using a computer to quickly access information online, showing how ICT has made learning easier and faster.

Reflection on ICT as communication tool

ICT as a Communication tool plays a crucial role in the modern digital era in enhancing personal and academic productivity. As a student, I greatly rely on platforms like Telegram and the Paro College of Education Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and others, since they present efficient, accessible, and straightforward means of communication and learning. Telegram is one of the communicative tool that plays an essential role in my life as a student both for academic and daily life purposes as the tool is easy and simple to use, fast, well-structured, and anybody would easily get adapted to using it. The main reason why telegram is one of the most used tool, its because of the features like group chats, file sharing, and cloud storage that enable discussions on group work, sharing academic content, and staying connected with announcements in class and the most importantly, telegram not only support real time communication (synchronous) but also supports asynchronous where it allows m...

Reflection on Assistive Technologies.

One of the element in establishing an inclusive and accessible learning environment for students with different needs and abilities is assistive technology. By offering equal learning opportunities, such technologies as sensor-based chairs, tables, and doors, as well as computer equipment like smart boards with engaging and interactive features, help to create a play level field for all types of learners, regardless of their disabilities. In a single classroom, this kind of assistive technology serves students with disabilities in addition to fit in various learning styles. There is no one assistive technology that works for everyone, just as there is no one learning theory that works for everyone (Tomlinson, 2014). Each student has unique needs, so what works well for one might not work at all for another. Therefore, a combination of one-on-one support and diverse resources is usually needed to meet the broad needs of students in inclusive settings. Smart Boards The smart board is a...
